Position Profile

• Financial reporting and analysis
• Cost analysis to review project profitability
• Develop, maintain and manage operating budget
• Develop and maintain forecasts, WHO reports (working with production manager, operations and sales)
• Analyze data to make recommendations to management on ways to reduce costs, create efficiencies and improve plan operations
• Conduct capital expenditure analysis
• Advise on new equipment purchases (conduct financial feasibility and life-cycle studies)
• Establish clear procedures for invoicing, purchasing and receipting
• Develop manufacturing standards in accounting processes
• Other duties and projects as required

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years’ experience in a General Accounting role in a manufacturing environment
• Completion or nearing completion of CMA or CGA designation required
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and accounting methods
• Knowledge of internal controls for manufacturing accounting
• Specialist in MRP process
• Comfortable making recommendations to all levels of management
• Previous supervisory experience an asset
• Strong communication skills
• Professional, motivated, energetic & detailed-oriented
• Ability to work in a team environment & independently
